OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS...
The Club was established in 1995 after Dave Harrigan, whilst doing the postal run, had a chat to Paul Evans over the fence about his chooks. They got chatting over a cup of tea and discussed forming a Club in Lithgow. They had a few people interested including Bill Allan of the famous cake shop in the Main St and Mary Shepherd. The first meeting happened 30th May 1995 with 17 members joining. Paul Evans was voted in President, Dave Harrigan as Secretary and Bill Allan as Treasurer.
In 2010 the shed at the Lithgow Showground was built and in 2014 it was renamed the 'Dave Harrigan Poultry Pavilion' for all his work keeping this Club alive. The shed houses 400+ cages all built by club members. In 2016 we had over 25+ members.
While our club is rebuilding after COVID19 we welcome new and old members to help us along with our journey.
